Life at Amiculum: Our global gathering

Virtual catch-ups are great, but being together in person is better! From the windy city of Chicago to sunny Auckland, we gathered our team members from global locations and met up in Manchester.

We set out a few goals for our event:

• Get our global team members together and build connections
• Turbocharge storytelling, creativity and digital excellence
• Have fun!

We certainly achieved all three!

We kicked things off with a mix of team-building activities – a fast-paced rotation of challenges including Jenga towers, paper plane flights, dingbats, and landmark puzzles. A great way to spark some friendly competition!

Another event highlight was an inspiring experience led by Talk Magic, blending jaw-dropping tricks with powerful insights into storytelling, creativity, and the art of engaging an audience. All skills we apply in our work every day.

We also got hands-on with AI, exploring all the different ways that we’re integrating AI into our everyday, from persona creation and AI-powered SLRs to kick-starting creativity and boosting productivity.

On top of discussing all things healthcare communications, we laced up our running shoes and had our first AMICU-RUN/WALK event to raise funds for Manchester Mind, a local charity doing important work to support people experiencing mental health challenges. We're proud to say we raised an incredible £2115! A big thank you to everyone who ran, walked and cheered from the sidelines or helped organize the event.

We also hosted a Pride-themed drinks reception. This was a joyful celebration of Pride Month which serves as a powerful reminder to show up for the LGBTQIA+ community – to inspire, educate, and connect in ways that foster belonging and champion equality.
